Hammer’s THE EVIL OF FRANKENSTEIN (1964) is represented through this dramatic original Belgian theatrical design, dominated by the scarred face of Frankenstein’s Creature above laboratory machinery and terrified character imagery. The French-language L’EMPREINTE DE FRANKENSTEIN title, vivid color and large-scale monster portraiture give the composition a powerful continental identity rooted in classic 1960s Gothic horror.

Directed by Freddie Francis, THE EVIL OF FRANKENSTEIN stars Peter Cushing as Baron Victor Frankenstein alongside Peter Woodthorpe, Sandor Elès, Duncan Lamont, Katy Wild and Kiwi Kingston as the Creature. The third film in Hammer’s Frankenstein series, it was also the first entry directed by Francis and marked a notable visual shift toward a Creature design recalling the classic Universal Frankenstein tradition.
