SEAN CONNERY & URSULA ANDRESS – DR. NO (1962) Mirror Hair Grooming Behind-the-Scenes James Bond 007 Photo
Limited Edition Photograph (learn more)
In stock
Sean Connery and Ursula Andress are captured in a wonderfully candid production moment from DR. NO, with Connery standing barefoot and combing his hair while a crew member holds a small mirror directly in front of him and Andress sits nearby looking upward. Surrounded by other figures and stripped of the polish of the finished film, the informal grooming moment offers an unusually human view of the two performers behind James Bond and Honey Ryder during the making of cinema’s first EON 007 adventure.
Terence Young’s DR. NO (1962), produced by Albert R. Broccoli and Harry Saltzman, introduced Sean Connery as James Bond alongside Ursula Andress as Honey Ryder, Joseph Wiseman, Jack Lord and John Kitzmiller. Production began on location in Jamaica in January 1962 before moving to Pinewood Studios, with the Jamaican landscapes becoming fundamental to the film’s distinctive visual identity and the beginning of the James Bond screen series.
Carefully restored from original studio-issued archival material and professionally lab-developed, this museum-quality photograph is presented uncropped, preserving the complete image area contained in the archival material. Connery’s barefoot hair-grooming moment, the handheld mirror, Andress seated nearby and the surrounding production activity create a distinctive collectible for Sean Connery, Ursula Andress, DR. NO, James Bond 007 and classic behind-the-scenes cinema photography collectors.
