Janine Reynaud in a striking publicity photograph associated with Necronomicon – Geträumte Sünden (1968), the surreal erotic-horror film directed by Jess Franco.

Reynaud stars as Lorna Green, a mysterious nightclub performer whose increasingly disturbing experiences blur the boundaries between fantasy, desire, violence and reality. The film became an important early entry in Franco’s German period and helped establish the dreamlike combination of eroticism, psychological horror and exploitation imagery that would become closely associated with his work.

This black-and-white image presents Reynaud in an elaborate bikini with fur-trimmed outerwear and knee-high boots, creating a distinctly late-1960s glamour image that contrasts with the darker psychological atmosphere of the film. Her commanding pose and fashion-model presence make the photograph especially appealing to collectors of European cult cinema, Jess Franco, vintage glamour and exploitation-film photography.

Necronomicon – Geträumte Sünden, released internationally under titles including Succubus, starred Janine Reynaud alongside Jack Taylor, Adrian Hoven, Howard Vernon and Nathalie Nort. The production was photographed in locations including Lisbon and Berlin and was released theatrically in Germany in April 1968.

Carefully restored from historic photographic source material and professionally lab-developed, this museum-quality black-and-white photograph preserves the character, tonal range and original photographic detail of the source. Restoration recovers facial detail, costume texture and natural photographic clarity while maintaining the authentic appearance of the historic image. The finished photograph contains no AI-generated image content.

A distinctive collectible for admirers of Janine Reynaud, Jess Franco, European exploitation cinema, erotic horror, vintage glamour photography and 1960s cult film.
